Just a note

I am leaving tomorrow to go to Washington DC for the Adventures in Travel Expo. JetBlue is a sponsor of it and one of the great perks to my job is to be able to go all over the country and promote JetBlue at fun events. I have a lot of mixed emotions about it this time. I love this event. It is one of my favorite. I hate the fact that I have to leave my kids and Lynn. It is also hard to know that Lynn is in a situation that is hard to get around and I can't be here to help him. I asked Lynn's mom if it was OK for them to go to her house for the weekend. She said yes. At least I know they will be taken care of. She is a good woman and a GREAT grandmother to my children!


Today, I went over to my mom's house. She is the most amazing woman in the world! I love talking to her. I love being around her! We weren't able to talk for very long because I was in the middle of picking up my kids and she wasn't feeling the best. She fell earlier today and she was really scratched up. It was nice to see her. It is so amazing how just seeing her makes my day go a whole lot better. I hope and pray that I can be a mom like her. She is my hero!

I also went to Laurie and Darryll's house tonight. They are such great friends! Laurie made homemade tapioca pudding for us. I tried it when I got home. I do have to say, it is the best tapioca pudding I have ever tasted! It was even warm. I can't wait until it is cold... We had a neat talk about how blessed we are to have the families we have.

I have to say, I am so blessed to have the family I have and the friends that I do. I love my life! Life is good!!!

Why I picked Happiness is...

I am sitting here tonight thinking about how blessed I am. I needed to write it down and I remembered that Tiffany Turley, my beautiful niece, has a blog. So I went in and decided to start one of my own.I truly believe that I am the most blessed person in the world. My children are the greatest! I love them so much with all my heart! Each one of them is so amazing in their own way. I have Krissi, she is 15 and so beautiful! She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She sings like an angel and dances beautifully. Johnny is all heart! He is 12. He is so handsome and sweet. He has a love for people that is so incredible. Zach is 7 going on 17. He has a maturity to him that most grown ups hope to have. He is so cute and loving! Clara is 1. She is so cute! She is going through her "mommy only stage" right now. I love it! I really am blessed!I have the world's greatest friends! I don't think anyone could have as great of friends as I have. I love each one of them with all my heart! They are the most giving, most fun people to be around. We have a chocolate group. We go to different places and try new treats. Not only is it wonderful food but great fun. Our favorite place right now is Cocoa Cafe'. It has the best Hot Chocolate in the world! So this is why I picked Happiness is. I am truly happy! My life is happy! How could I not be happy with how blessed I am?I am excited about this blog. I hope people enjoy it. Even if nobody sees it I will be happy because I finally have a place to write things down.

What is going on in my family?

There are a lot of things going on in my family right now.

Lynn, my husband, fell down the stairs last week. He broke his leg, ankle and tore all of the ligaments in his foot. He had to go in for emergency surgery. It was quite scary. He is off his leg for the next ten weeks. He has already started to go stir crazy. He is a man that likes to keep going. It really is amazing how much you don't appreciate things until something happens to them. Lynn wakes up every morning to take the kids to school because I work until 2am. He takes care of Clara the minute he walks in the door. He helps the kids do things around the yard. He takes the dog on walks. Now he can't. I miss it! He is a great man and I can't wait 'til he is on his feet again!

Krissi made LaNichee's. This is Skyline's Drill Team. It is a huge honor! Krissi hasn't really had a lot because people have always thought that she did have it all. She finally got something she really desired! Her cousins, Chantelle, Danielle and Tiffany Turley all talked her in to trying out. They have all been LaNichees. This means that all of my mom's grand daughters that have gone to Skyline High have been a LaNichee. Pretty cool, huh! Krissi has some great cousins. They are all so sweet and beautiful.

The boys are just being boys. Johnny and Zach are best friends but always fighting. They can't stand being away from each other but they drive each other crazy when they are together.

Clara is so cute! She is still wearing her helmet to help shape her head. She needs it because she was a preemie and she was on her back to long with out being able to move her head. It looks pretty cute on her though. She is getting so big! She loves her brothers and sister. They make her laugh!
